Fiverr started in 2010 and has since grown to be the world’s biggest freelancing marketplace. For $5, freelancers can offer any of their services to buyers from around the globe who are ready and willing to purchase them. What does that mean for you? Opportunity! With Fiverr, you can make money doing pretty much anything you can imagine (and probably things you never would have considered). Read on to learn how to get started making money on Fiverr!

What is Fiverr?

Fiverr is a website where you can sell your services for $5. If you offer something that would take 10 hours, charge $50 and offer it as a service on Fiverr. People will buy it because they know they are getting the best deal possible and they don't have the time or expertise to do it themselves. As an example, I use my skills in writing, designing websites, and social media marketing to help my clients with their business goals.

Getting Started

To get started, click Post an Offer. For your first offer, we recommend posting a gig for $5. Once you post an offer, it'll take about 24 hours before your gig is live. You can also edit your offer later by going to the Offers tab and clicking Edit.

Answering Jobs

Fiverr is a marketplace where people can sell their services for $5. When browsing, try and look for gigs that you could do in less than 5 minutes and are specific (e.g. editing) rather than broad (e.g. marketing). 

Once you select your gig, click the Hire Me button and follow the directions provided by the gig poster.

Becoming Featured

To become Featured, you must be a top-rated seller who has completed at least 10 transactions with a 100% rating. To become Top Rated, you must earn a 4.8 or higher rating in all four of the following areas: Quality of Service, Communication, On Time Delivery, and Customer Satisfaction. So what does this mean? It means that buyers need to be happy with your service and how you communicate; they also need to get what they ordered on time with no issues.

Earning Tips

There are a few ways to make money on Fiverr. One way is by selling your services, the other is by promoting yourself and your business for free. The best thing about these two options is that you can switch back and forth depending on what you need at any given time.

Moving Up on the Top Rated List

1) Become a Top Seller. Every seller starts at the bottom, but you can take your career to the top by offering valuable services and completing many orders. Some of the requirements for becoming a Top Seller are: providing excellent customer service, submitting completed orders on time, and maintaining an average order rating of 4.8 stars or higher.

2) Create an appealing profile with high-quality photos that showcase your work.

Earning as a Star Seller

Every time you sell, you can earn up to five stars. At the end of each week, your total number of stars is converted into a dollar amount that will be added to your balance. Your weekly earnings are calculated by multiplying this number by the value of a star (which is currently $0.20).

Protecting Your Account

As with any online business, you need to be proactive in protecting your account and yourself. Here are some tips for staying safe and avoiding scams -Read the site's Terms of Service (TOS) before you sign up; 

-When giving personal information about yourself or another person, always make sure that it is accurate and current; 

-Make sure the payment method matches what you agreed upon when setting up the gig; 

-And finally, if something seems fishy or too good to be true then it probably is!
